Emerging from the Mehrauli Village, the road begins to open wide as it moves from pavement to dirt. The buildings which once surrounded the street dissolve into heavy forests. Soon the space opens wide, and you will be greeted by small herds of goats and the white walls of the Eidgah.

Built for the Eid Salah (Eid prayer), the Eidgah is only active two days a year on the morning of Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha. If you come on any other day of the year, you will find a expansive courtyard space with short trees calmly swaying in the wind. Any who will enter will be embraced by the white and green walls around them, which add to the soothing environment.

Standing in their midst you can ponder the centuries of people peacefully laying aside their differences and coming together in worship and celebration.
