Nestled between the dukaans of the ever bustling Market Street lies a distinct yet modest doorway. Entering through the pale green and white gateway, you will discover one of the many historic jewels of Mehrauli.

In years past, the three Sufi saints — Khawaja Muinuddin Chisti (Khawaja Gharib Nawaz), Qutub Sahib (Khawaja Qutub-ud-Din Bakhtiyar) and Baba Fareed Gani Shakkar — came together to pray facing the Shamsi Talab and Mecca beyond. The three men represent a spiritual lineage, which has continued unto this day. Each are now commemorated by their places of prayer, carefully marked in the masjid’s interior, and their dargahs in Ajmer, Delhi (Mehrauli) and Pakpattan (Pakistan).

Active to this day the Auliya Masjid operates as a house of worship for the Muslims of Mehrauli and a place of pilgrimage for those seeking spiritual renewal.
